About faces
FACES was born in 2013 from the creative mind of a screen printer who has always been passionate about t-shirts and graphics.
The initial idea was to create emotions to wear.
The first t-shirt collection features faces emerging from a black background. Interesting, captivating faces, not necessarily famous but capable of leaving a lasting impression on the observer. The realization of this idea is due to advanced artisanal screen printing techniques and passionate graphic adaptation work.
The design, imperceptible to the touch, is made with water-based paints free of toxic and polluting substances.
Despite the apparent delicacy of the print, the design withstands countless washes, gaining additional beauty over time.
The second FACES collection is enriched with new faces from cinema and the music scene, but especially with graphics from street artist Banksy. Free and irreverent like the creator of FACES, Banksy finds considerable space in the line, thanks to graphics
with a strong visual impact and undisputed socio-cultural value. Banksy, while maintaining anonymity, expresses his art where he wants, when he wants, and how he wants, often challenging the Authorities. Opposed to the canons of official Art, Banksy uses his irony to
denounce the aberrations of modern Society through graffiti.
In 2013, the first FACES store opens in the immediate vicinity of Piazza Campo de’ fiori in Rome. Total black in perfect FACES style, it immediately attracts the gaze of passersby with its elegance and originality. The t-shirts hung on the walls like paintings are illuminated as in an art gallery.
The FACES t-shirt collection is enriched over time with other clothing items (sweatshirts, aprons, etc.), home decor (cushions, paintings, etc.), gadgets and gift ideas (mugs, puzzles, etc.). Each item is designed and crafted using artisanal techniques in our workshop, with the same care and passion with which we created the first t-shirt.
